A goal, not a guarantee. Mutual funds carry market risk. Pension and maturity benefits depend on the policy terms.

Anil Rattan · Financial planner

Know what you pay, when it stops, and what comes back.

For 28 years Anil has planned life insurance and mutual funds together, then laid the result out one year at a time, so a family can see the whole arrangement before committing to it. He explains each part before anything is signed.

How Anil works

Two aims that are usually bought separately.

Most families want two things from their money: the security of knowing their loved ones are protected, and the confidence that their savings are quietly growing for the years ahead. Anil’s work brings those two goals into a single plan.

The curious part is how the two pieces fit. Life insurance looks after protection: if something happens, the family is covered. Mutual funds look after growth: money set aside for the long run, with the chance to grow. When both are laid out on the same page, year by year, you can see at a glance what you pay, when you stop paying, and what the illustration shows coming back over the years.

Already have a policy and something about it is unclear? Anil will sit down and go through it with you. That advice is free.

Two ways to plan

A very small premium, or a short one.

Every plan starts with how you would like to pay. Choose one to read more.

The premium is a very small amount. The plan is built so that what you pay each time stays modest and easy to keep up, which matters far more over the years than an ambitious figure you struggle to sustain.

Whichever way suits you, Anil then looks at what the plan gives back: a lifetime pension, and the amounts that mature over the life of the policy.

This is one life insurance illustration, and the premium in it also qualifies for a tax rebate. It is an example of how the numbers can come together, not a promise. Life insurance benefits depend on the terms of the policy, and mutual funds are subject to market risk.

One line for each year.

The year-by-year sheet shows a mutual fund and life insurance plan the way Anil explains it across the table: what is paid each year, when the payments stop, and what comes in after that. It is built from real worked examples, and it works nicely on a phone, too.

It is an illustration to help you understand the shape of a plan. It is not a quote.

A hike or a pause from here

The stance is calibrated tightening. The resolution says a later step can only be a rate hike or a pause. Two members preferred to keep the stance neutral. The next meeting is 2 to 4 December 2026.
