This website is run by Anil Rattan, a financial planner who works with life insurance and mutual funds. It shares general information about these kinds of products and about how a plan can be put together.

Nothing on this website is personalised investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing here is an offer or a contract. Any decision should be made after a conversation about your own circumstances and after reading the relevant documents.

Illustrations are examples, not quotes. The year-by-year sheet and figures such as “Rs 320 a day, for 12 years, towards a crore” are illustrations built from worked examples. They are not premium quotes, guaranteed returns or contracts. Actual premiums, benefits and maturity amounts depend on the policy, its terms, your age and other factors set out in the policy document.

Mutual funds. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme-related documents carefully before investing. Returns are not guaranteed, and past performance is not indicative of future results.

Life insurance. Benefits, guarantees and exclusions are governed by the terms of each policy. Read the policy document carefully before you sign.

Tax. References to a tax rebate or to amounts being tax free are illustrative. Tax rules change, and how they apply depends on your circumstances.

Market notes. Figures on monetary policy are quoted from the Reserve Bank of India for general context, with links to the source. They are not a forecast from this office.

No product endorsement. This site talks about life insurance and mutual funds in general terms. It does not recommend any particular insurer, fund house or scheme.
